Rijksmuseum Schiphol – Amsterdam airport hosts a small selection of works from the Rijksmuseum collection. The museum is located on Holland Boulevard (between Lounges 2 and 3 in non-Schengen departures) and is open 24 hours a day to passengers. Free entry

Friday Night Skate – 20km organised skate around the streets of Amsterdam held every Friday night (2030, weather permitting) from Vondelpark Pavilion.
Equestrian:

Festivals in Amsterdam (November 2024)
IDFA 2024 – International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. Annual event (37th edition) showing a wide variety of thought-provoking documentaries. Main locations at Pathé Tuschinski, Het Ketelhuis, de Brakke Grond theatre. Expected 13-24 Nov 2024.
Imagine Fantastic Film Festival – Well-established international film festival showing sci-fi, cult, fantasy and horror films. 40th edition is expected 24 Oct to 3 Nov 2024 at FilmHallen & LAB111 in Amsterdam.

Fairs & Expos in Amsterdam and Netherlands (November 2024)
UNFAIR24 – The 8th edition of Unfair Amsterdam hosts solo presentations from up-and-coming and established artists. Expected at Gashouder (Westergas) Amsterdam, dates to be announced.
PAN Amsterdam – Large international fair for art, antiques and design with over 100 galleries and dealers. Scheduled for 24 Nov – 1 Dec 2024 at RAI Amsterdam.
IAMExpat Fair The Hague – One-day event connecting the expat community with various stands, workshops and presentations. Event due at Grote Kerk (church) in The Hague on 9 Nov 2024 (1000-1700).
Comedy & Shows in Amsterdam (November 2024)
Boom Chicago – Great night out at the popular comedy and improv theatre show in English – with bar and table service. At the Rozentheater in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam Magic Show – Monthly magic and comedy show with international performers. At Boom Chicago’s Rozentheater, Rozengracht in Amsterdam. Date to be announced.
Classical Concerts & Theatre in Amsterdam (November 2024)
Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) – Amsterdam’s renowned theatre company performs shows in Dutch which have live English surtitles above the stage – for Thursday night shows at the Stadsschouwburg theatre.
Shot in the Dark – A 15 piece orchestra plays classic film and TV themes. Runs 9 Nov 2024 (2015) at ‘t Zonnehuis in Amsterdam.

Sinterklaas Arrives – The Dutch version of Santa Claus (or St Nicholas) makes his annual arrival by boat in Amsterdam on Sunday 17 Nov 2024 (to be confirmed). This marks the start of the festive season – Sinterklaas is usually celebrated around 5 December.
De Balie – The multimedia venue near Leidseplein in Amsterdam hosts regular events about current affairs, politics and culture.
