Amsterdam The Style Outlets is an outdoor shopping mall which is located between Amsterdam and Haarlem. It opened in 2020 and is the only outlet centre in the Randstad area of the Netherlands. It contains around 100 Dutch and international branded stores.
Amsterdam The Style Outlets is run by the Spanish NEINVER group which also has outlets in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain.
The outlet is located in the town of Halfweg on the former site of the CSM Sugar Factory which operated from 1919 to 1992. The area known as SugarCity is slowly being developed as a multi-purpose facility which will include events/conferences, shopping and a marina.
The area has a post-industrial charm as you will see if you arrive by train or bus. You will pass the former Sugar Silos, which are now modern office buildings.
Most of the shops in Amsterdam The Style Outlets are fashion/clothing/footwear/accessories – the largest stores being from Adidas, Only, Intrend, Nike and S. Oliver.
There are also a few cooking/homeware themed stores from Home & Cook, Le Creuset, Möve, Ravensburger, Shiwi/Sinner, Sissy-Boy, Tom Tailor and WMF.
There are 3 entrances to the site – named Milan, Paris and London. If you are coming from the station you will arrive at the Milan entrance. You will find maps to guide you around the mall.
- There are about 10 café options on site including Anne & Max, The Burger Federation, Coffee Fellows, Pommes Frites and Starbucks.
- Free WiFi is available on site.
- Non-EU visitors can get VAT refunds when leaving the Netherlands.
- Designer outlet malls tend to sell last season/end-of-line items; you should be aware that some retailers do manufacture special (and cheaper) lines just for outlets.
- Expect about 30% off the standard retail price and up to 70% off selected sale items.
- On our last visit during the midweek the mall was pretty quiet.
Regular opening hours are 1000-1800 (Mon-Thu) and 1000-2000 (Fri-Sun).
