Megabus offers cheap coach (bus) travel from Amsterdam to London, Paris and Brussels, with one-way fares from around £12/€15.
Megabus is run by the Stagecoach Group which offers discount intercity bus services in the UK and US and has operated its European services since 2012.
Megabus runs the following international coach services to/from Amsterdam:
London-Amsterdam: This service runs 2x daily (1 day service, 1 overnight service) in each direction. International passengers must first check-in at the desk with their passport or relevant ID card at London Victoria coach station.
The Amsterdam-bound bus travels to either Dover or Ramsgate for a ferry crossing to Calais or Boulogne which is included in the price.
The total journey time for London to Amsterdam is around 10 hours - with stops at Lille, Ghent, Antwerp and Rotterdam.
Buses depart London Victoria at 1030 and 2130, arriving in Amsterdam at 2115 and 0900 respectively. Coming back the buses leave Amsterdam at 0845 and 2100 arriving in London at 1800 and 0730 respectively.

Amsterdam-Paris via Brussels: Operates 2x daily (1 day service, 1 overnight service) in each direction. Travel times are 3 hours for Amsterdam-Brussels and about 7 1/2 hours Amsterdam-Paris.
The daytime bus leaves Amsterdam at 1130 arriving in Brussels at 1430 and Paris at 1900. The night bus departs Amsterdam at 2300 arriving in Brussels at 0200 and Paris at 0620.
From Paris buses depart at 1030 and 2330, stopping at Brussels at 1530 and 0400 (respectively) and arriving in Amsterdam at 1830 and 0640.
Megabus fares: Tickets can be bought online at the megabus.com site in either £ sterling or € euros. There are no sales office points in Europe.
Prices can vary depending on the time of year - expect higher prices at peak periods such as August or around Christmas.
The lowest standard fares for Amsterdam-London are £18 or €22 each way; Amsterdam to Paris, Antwerp, Brussels or Lille can be bought from £12 or €15 each way. Note, there is a £0.50/€0.50 booking fee on top.
Special offer one-way fares of £5 or €6 are occasionally found - particularly if competitor Eurolines (National Express) happens to be offering cheap 'funfares' on the London-Amsterdam route.
Megabus coaches have toilet facilities and free WiFi on board. Luggage allowance is 25kg plus one piece of hand baggage.
iDBUS is a SNCF French Railways subsidiary which runs a premium coach service between London, Amsterdam and Paris via Lille.
Megabus coach stops
Megabus stop in Amsterdam: Megabus coaches depart/arrive from Zeeburg Park&Ride (P&R) coach park at Zuiderzeeweg (postcode: 1095 KJ). This location is about 4km east of central station and can be reached in 10 minutes by using GVB tram 26. The tram stop (Zuiderzeeweg/Piet Heintunnel) is literally next door to the P&R car park where the bus departs. The trams operate up to 10x hourly between 0600-0030. A one way ticket can be bought on board for €2.80, note cheaper fares are possible using an anonymous OV-chip card. Also see here for more info on public transport tickets in Amsterdam. Megabus stop in Brussels: Coaches depart/arrive from Brussels Rue De Cardinal Mercier coach stand outside Wings Tavern. Close to Brussels central station in the heart of the city.
Megabus stop in Antwerp: Coaches depart/arrive from Platinkaai near the cruise ship terminal.
Megabus stop in Paris: Located at Porte Maillot coach park, near the Palais de Congres - just west of the main centre. Close by are Porte Maillot station (Metro line 1) and Neuilly-Porte Maillot station (RER line C).
Megabus stop in Lille: Coaches depart/arrive at Boulevard de Leeds lay-by - near Lille Europe station and the Euralille shopping centre. There is a Crowne Plaza hotel next to the bus stop. Lille Flandres station is about 500m away.
Megabus stop in London: Coaches depart/arrive from Victoria Coach Station (stands 15-20) on Buckingham Palace Road. Across the road from Victoria train and tube stations.
