London-Amsterdam: This service runs 2x daily (1 day service, 1 overnight service) in each direction. From London Victoria coach station the bus travels to either Dover or Ramsgate for a ferry crossing to Calais or Boulogne (included in the price). The bus then makes stops in Boulogne and Brussels before arriving in Amsterdam. The London bus actually originates from Leicester and Milton Keynes.

The buses depart London at 0900 and 2130, arriving in Amsterdam at 2050 and 0850, respectively. From Amsterdam, the buses leave at 0820 and 2130, arriving at London Victoria at 1845 and 0730, respectively.

See our review of transport options between London and Amsterdam.

Amsterdam-Paris: This service also runs 2x daily (1 day service, 1 overnight service) in each direction. Departure from Amsterdam is at 1100 and 2300, arriving in Paris at 1810 and 0620. From Paris the coach leaves at 1100 and 2330, reaching Amsterdam at 1810 and 0640.

Amsterdam-Brussels: This is effectively 4x daily as both the Amsterdam-Paris and Amsterdam-London services stop off in the Belgian capital. From Amsterdam, scheduled travel times are: 0820-1110/1100-1350/2130-0030/2300-0200 from Amsterdam; 0400-0640/0610-0850/1530-1810/1810-2050 from Brussels.

Megabus tickets can be purchased in £ sterling or € euros. Prices can vary but generally the lowest fares on all routes start at £5 or €6 each way. For Amsterdam to Brussels/Paris you will find most tickets under €15. Amsterdam-London fares tend to range anything from €11 to €30, although we noted higher fares over the Christmas period. There is a £0.50/€0.50 booking fee on top.

Bookings can be made online or via an (expensive) premium rate UK telephone number. There are no sales office points in Europe.

Note that competitor Eurolines (National Express) is offering low fares on the same routes, so it's well worth comparing prices. iDBUS runs a premium coach service between Amsterdam and Paris via Lille.

Megabus is using a fleet of 10 new coaches for this European operation which have toilet facilities and free WiFi on board.
