KLM has a large Crown Lounge 25 at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for Schengen area departures. In this article we will review the lounge and its facilities.
Overview of KLM Crown Lounge 25
KLM Crown Lounge 25 is a large rectangular lounge space with an area of 2,400 square metres and capacity for 500 guests. It is open for premium and elite flyers on KLM and other Skyteam airlines.
Lounge 25 is used for Schengen departures – these are flights within the European Schengen zone. KLM has a larger flagship intercontinental lounge for non-Schengen flight destinations at Lounge 52.
Lounge 25 had a minor refurbishment in 2024 to improve seats and facilities.
KLM Crown Lounge 25 Location
KLM Crown Lounge 25 is located on the upper level (Level 2) of Lounge 1 near the D 59-87 gates. Simply follow the signs to ‘Airline lounges 25-29’.
Hours of Operation
Both KLM Crown lounges in Amsterdam are open daily 0445-2200 to cover all KLM and Skyteam flights.
Lounge Layout and Seating
Lounge 25 is open plan but divided into a number of zones. The front side of the lounge has internal windows which overlook the terminal walkway – there are no direct external views, although you can see some aircraft from the terminal windows in the distance.
There are some potted plants placed strategically outside the windows to give a little cover from outside.
At either side of the front circular entrance can be found comfortable lounge seating near the windows – blue armchairs on the left side and beige armchairs on the right. There are also a few high-backed chairs scattered around the lounge.
At the rear of the lounge on the left-hand side is a business corner which includes individual workspaces and some long work tables.
At the back area there are dining-style seats for those using the 2 self-service buffet stations.
Finally there is a enclosed private area in the front left-hand corner reserved for Flying Blue Ultimate members.
Food and Beverage
There are 2 self service circular buffet stations with dining area seating behind.
We visited in the morning and to be honest the food is not amazing, just standard ‘3-star’ hotel breakfast variety. It had a mix of continental and hot options with the latter being boiled or scrambled eggs, sausages, mushrooms, roast potatoes, soups.
There is no barista coffee here, just self-service machines but more than adequate for a caffeine hit.
The lounge was well-staffed on our visit and tables were cleaned fairly regularly.
At the right-hand side of the lounge is a bar area with a selection of self-pour alcoholic drinks.
Lounge Amenities
In terms of amenities there are 4 shower suites available which have to be booked at the central service desk. The showers are found next to the ladies toilets at the back on the left side. The men’s toilet is on the right-hand side of the lounge.
Free WiFi is available and plenty of power outlets can be found in the business corner or at the armchairs.

Conclusion: KLM Crown Lounge 25
The KLM Crown Lounge 25 is an adequate facility for KLM Schengen passengers. It’s certainly not in the same league as KLM’s flagship intercontinetal lounge 52. It can also be rather busy as it was when we visited at 8am on a weekday morning.
If you have free access then it is worth stopping by. We’re not sure the €60 entry fee is good value unless you want to take a shower and have a good go at the food and drink.
