NS Dutch Railways operates Intercity and Sprinter trains from Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. The rail platforms are on the upper level of the station.

The train is the quickest way to get to Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA from Schiphol Airport taking just 13 minutes. Intercity trains run up to 4x hourly with final destination Nijmegen or Venlo.
The cost of a one-way train ticket (2026 prices) from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA is €5.10 (2nd class) or €9.18 (1st class) plus a €1.60 surcharge if purchasing a disposable train ticket.
If travelling between Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA by train then the fare is €3.50 (2nd class) or €6.30 (1st class) plus the €1.60 surcharge if purchasing a disposable train ticket. The trip takes 15 minutes.
There are up to 4x Sprinter trains services per hour running with final destination from Amsterdam Centraal being either Driebergen-Zeist or Rotterdam Central.

Metro: Station Bijlmer ArenA (M50/54)
Station Bijlmer ArenA is a metro station within Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA railway station and has its own separate platforms.
To access the platforms (metro or trains) you need to scan a ticket at the respective gate barriers – with the metro barriers clearly marked with the ‘M’ logo.

Metro lines serving Bijlmer ArenA are the M50 (Gein to Isolatorweg) and M54 (Centraal Station-Gein).

You can directly reach all other major metro/train stations in Amsterdam – including Amsterdam Amstel, Amsterdam Centraal, Amsterdam RAI, Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Amsterdam Zuid.
For the journey between Amsterdam Centraal and Bijlmer ArenA, the metro runs more frequently than the train and the journey time is about 16 minutes with 9 intermediate stops.

The metro is operated by city transport company GVB which has a service & tickets desk at Bijlmer ArenA.

For metro travel you will either need a GVB 1 hour single ticket (€3.40) or consider one of these better value multi-day tickets:

Either ticket is an excellent choice if you are arriving/departing from Schiphol aiport and are staying in the Bijlmer-ArenA area. They are both valid on the Intercity train between Schiphol-Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA and can get you in and around Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Bijlmer-ArenA is easily reached by road being close to the A2 and A9 motorways.
There is a Park and Ride (P+R) car park at ArenA with spaces for 500 cars. The address is Burgemeester Stramanweg 130, 1101 EP Amsterdam.
Note, to get the P+R rate you must use public transport to go to central Amsterdam.
