Which is the best seat on the Eurostar train? Eurostar seats are generally comfortable in all classes.
Our favourite Eurostar seats are the solo seats in the Plus/Premier coaches. These are airline-style directional seats with good legroom – we have marked these seats in green on the modified seat map below.
We find the seats with tables (marked in pink on our map) are a little awkward as you face others and this also can compromise leg space. The table seat pairs in Plus/Premier however can be really good for couples.

Can I book a specific Eurostar train seat?
Generally you cannot choose a seat during the booking process. You will be pre-assigned a seat during the booking procedure or after payment. Note, seat reservations are always freely included on Eurostar.
For example, booking with Trainline you will see the coach and seat number just before the payment page:
If booking with NS International you will only find out the coach and seat allocation after the payment.
Can I change my Eurostar seat?
If you wish to change your seat after you have purchased you can take the booking confirmation reference and go to Manage my Booking on Eurostar’s official site. On successful log-in you should be able to see the live seat map and change your seat accordingly.
What about window seats on the Eurostar?
The windows on the Eurostar E320 train are of a medium size with quite a blank space between each window. The seats are not always perfectly aligned with the windows – so some ‘window’ seats may have a slightly compromised view.
Double check the seat map for the best aligned seats if the window is important to you.
Which are the best solo seats on the E320?
As stated, we think the best seats on the Eurostar are the directional solo seats in the Plus/Premier cabins. There are a total of 42 solo seats on the E320 and are found as follows:

What about seat 61 on the Eurostar?
English rail expert Mark Smith named his site after seat 61, part of a solo table seat pair which was his preferred choice for travel on the Eurostar.
These were actually from the older series Eurostar train – British Rail Class 373 or TGV TMST, known as the Eurostar E300. Seat 61 can be found in coaches 7/8/11/12 on the E300 trains.
On the Eurostar E320 train the equivalent seat 61 is located in coaches 3 and 14. However, we prefer solo seat 61 in coaches 1 and 16!
Which Eurostar coach has the café?
The Eurostar Café is located in coaches 8 and 9 on E320 trains.
Can I select Eurostar seats that face forwards?
Eurostar E320 trains can operate in either direction and have a driver cab at each end.
You can sit facing forward – but you need to check the direction of travel (to London or to Europe) and select an appropriate seat which is aligned in a forward-facing direction to travel.
