blue° - Cafe with Amsterdam Panorama
Cafe blue° is located in a special glass construction built at the top of the Kalvertoren shopping centre on Kalverstraat quite close to Muntplein. You can reach the cafe (3rd floor) from inside the shopping centre by either lift or stairs. It has a very good 360° panoramic view of central Amsterdam. |
Cafe Blue re-opened in 2010 under new management following a renovation - it was previously known as the Kalvertoren cafe. Blue sells a range of drinks (hot, cold and alcoholic), soups, snacks and sandwiches (€5-€8). There are also a few salad and warm dish main options (€12-€14). It's a great spot to have lunch and enjoy the view.

Blue is open daily from 1000 (Monday 1100, Sunday 1200) until 1800 (Thursdays is late night to 2100 - which is cool to see Amsterdam by night). Note, it is also available for private function hire during the other evenings.
The Kalvatoren shopping centre is in central Amsterdam near Muntplein. It is accessible from 3 different entry points - Kalverstraat, Singel or Heiligeweg.
